Founded in 2006, the Cabarete Language Institute (CLI) was created to merge world-class language education with the vibrant culture and natural beauty of the Dominican Republic's north coast.
A Different Way to Learn
Under the direction of Isaac Trujillo, CLI pioneered the SIM Spanish Method, recognizing that language is a live social tool, not a set of symbols on a chalkboard. Over the last two decades, we have welcomed thousands of students, remote professionals, diplomats, and volunteers from over 45 countries.
Deeply Rooted in the Community
CLI is more than just a school. We are a community hub. We actively support local social development through volunteer programs, and we partner with local businesses, organic farms, and schools to ensure our students experience the authentic Dominican Republic.
